Getting Involved -- It is easy to do!

Every year, families contribute approximately 20,000 volunteer hours to Central Elementary to help enrich the lives of our students.  Volunteer opportunities exist is a variety of areas - in the classrooms, library, computer lab, driving to field trips, and as organizers and leaders of programs and special events for the students.

Why should you volunteer?

  • Volunteering is a great way to share your child's world by interacting with teachers, staff and students.
  • Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents
  • Volunteering is fun!

If you are interested in volunteering for a specific program, please contact that programs' committee chair. For more information, please talk with your child's teacher and/or contact anyone on the PTA to volunteer -- there are opportunities for everyone!

Information on what is required and expected of volunteers in the Belmont-Redwood Shores District can be found at this page on the District Website.

There is also a quick link on that page to the volunteer form, which is required for volunteering on campus or driving field trips.
