After-School Enrichment

Winter 2019 Enrichment Activities

Central Singers

3rd - 5th graders

Max 20 students

Lights! Camera! Action!

Performing for an audience is such a skill builder, for kids of all ages. Lisa Bock coordinates the Central Singers, a singing/dancing performance class.  Kids learn vocals and simple choreography to put together a few performances at the end of the session!  If your child has an ear for singing, wants to develop group singing skills & harmonizing, enjoys learning dance steps, enjoyed prior singing/choreography experience with school plays or drama…this is perfect for them!  Working as a group, the choir team will build routines and vocals, with opportunity for solos for those who want to give it a try. They'll build a fantastic foundation for making presentations and public speaking, as well as skills in collaboration on a team and problem-solving.

The theme this semester is Back to the 50's!

Ukulele Club

3rd-5th graders

This PTA sponsored, after-school class will teach your child the basics of playing ukulele. Learn basic chords, strum patterns, and put it all together while singing fun songs. Central 3-5 graders are encouraged to join, we have 10 ukuleles but there is room for up to 13 students. Students may bring their own ukulele (subject to instructor approval of instrument). Class led by Central parents Sherie Lyn Hafalia and Jenn Yu.
